Mail Client is an SMC plugin that allows you to monitor your emails in the Liferay portal. Receive your messages in real time, read and reply quickly and securely.

Configure your IMAP and SMTP server.

Keep your sent and deleted emails updated by enabling synchronization with your server

Send attachments or share the document link. Save attachments in your PC or Liferay folder with just a few clicks.

Introduction

With this plugin you can compose, send and receive in an instant and secure email messages without having to install any additional software on the client.

IMAP and SMTP Settings

From the control panel, the administrator must configure the IMAP and SMTP mail server.

The final user must complete the IMAP configuration for his account with username and password, name of the inbox folder, sent and trash folder. The user can also determine that sending email uses the same credentials to authenticate to the SMTP server.

From the email page, you can open in pop up the detail of the email to read the content, compose a new email and attach the documents uploading from our PC or from the document Media Library.

For each email the possible actions are:

  • Reply the sender
  • Reply all
  • Forward the message
  • Mark the message as "read"/"to read" depending on its status
  • View attachments and save them to your PC or Document Media Library

From this page, you can directly access the email web client set by the referrer for the current instance.

 

The administrator must configure the IMAP and SMTP server.

IMAP server settings:

  • Host address
  • Port number
  • Secure certificate
  • Mail client link
  • Folder name for your inbox
  • Folder name for sent email
  • Enable saving of emails sent to the SENT folder on the server
  • Folder name for deleted email
  • Enable displacement of deleted emails in the TRASH folder on the server

SMTP server settings:

  • Host address
  • Port number
  • Secure certificate

 The individual user will have to configure his personal email by entering:

  • Username
  • Password
  • Folder name for your inbox
  • Folder name for sent emails
  • Folder name for deleted emails
  • Enable sending emails with the same credentials
